Andrea Jacobson, OTR/L
Pediatric Occupational Therapist and Play Enthusiast
Andrea has a Master’s of Occupational Therapy and Bachelor’s of Science in Health Education. She has life-long experience promoting the development of children and has been a pediatric OT for 7+ years. Her work with children and families impacted by neurological, motor, and social-emotional differences, in public school, autism programs, sensory integration clinics, inpatient psychiatry, home, and community settings has shaped her holistic, dynamic systems approach focused on building a healthy foundation for movement, motivation, engagement, and learning. Andrea’s energetic, playful, child-led approach guides children toward balanced sensory, motor, cognitive, and social-emotional development leading to comfort and trust in oneself, others, and the world. Andrea strongly believes caregivers who understand how the sensory-motor systems work and affect their child’s participation feel empowered to recognize, respond to, and plan for their child’s needs. Andrea loves to create enjoyable, impactful, learning experiences out of everyday objects and routines and views parents and children as her greatest collaborators.
Member Services & Class Coordinator
Catherine graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Performance Theatre. She has come to know many Peekadoodle members through her role in Member Services at the front desk, however Catherine started out as a professional princess, bringing ultimate happiness and joy to kids all over the Bay Area. While working with parents and children at Peekadoodle, Catherine continues to pursue her passion for the theatre and intends to incorporate American Sign Language after earning her certification in ASL.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Zachary moved to San Francisco to pursue a degree from San Francisco State University, where he received a BA in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. Zachary found his love and passion for working with children at a young age. Since his first job as a summer camp instructor, Zachary has gone on to manage summer camps for the City and County of San Francisco as well as worked as a Site Coordinator at a SFUSD afterschool program. Zachary is excited to join the Peekadoodle team and continue his career enriching the lives of children from an administrative role. In Zachary’s free time, he can be found hiking the hills of San Francisco and taking photographs of everything and anything he finds interesting.
Speech Therapist, Class Teacher
Erika has a Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University. She began her career in New York City working full-time in a top private hospital and now works part-time in a major hospital in San Francisco. In her eight years of experience, Erika has seen children and adults in hospital, outpatient, and home care settings. She’s worked with a wide array of medically fragile children, as well as children needing extra support to build speech and language skills. Her experience includes helping children of all ages and adults, with varying communication and feeding/swallowing disorders. In addition to working with children and adults, Erika has also taught at Columbia University and has supervised graduate students abroad in South America and Africa, providing speech and feeding therapy to children in need.
